Boy in coma; mother battles poverty

Seven-year-old Sachin was his labourer-mother’s only ray of hope. But Manjula’s dreams came crashing down on January 22 last when a speeding car hit him at Vinayakanagar here. Twenty-four days later, Sachin is still in coma, battling for his life at Bangalore’s HOSMAT hospital. With the hospital bills mounting by the day, Sachin’s mother is now clueless on how to afford the hugely expensive ventilator, so critical to let her son live. Doctors at HOSMAT, however, have not given up hope. Dr N C Prakash, a neuro-surgeon in-charge of Sachin, said: “Earlier he was unable to breathe and was getting convulsions, but now he is breathing and convulsions are also under control. However, he is still on ventilator.” Manjula breaks down as she recalls the fateful day. “On January 22, Sachin was playing outside our house near the Widia factory when a car knocked him down, causing serious head injuries,” said Manjula. Car owner Ainar (35) did help. But he has now expressed his inability to meet further expenses. Dr Prakash said the boy has developed brain adema. “It is like a swelling in the brain. The situation is similar to the swelling in any part of the body after injuries. We expect that the boy would recover once the swelling subsides.” The doctor has also observed that the child’s brain had the ability to recover fast. “He is responding. He even cries sometime,” Dr Prakash said. The hurdle But the major hurdle before the hospital as well as Manjula is finance. Manjula can hardly make her ends meet. Her husband Paramesh deserted her seven years ago when Manjula was carrying. “I hardly earned Rs 1,500 per month and half of it went towards the house rent. After the accident, I have not been to work. The owner is after me for rent. I am going around like a beggar, seeking monetary help from neighbours and relatives,” said a weeping Manjula. Hospital vice-president Dinesh Madhavan said the hospital had so far spent Rs 1.4 lakh on the boy. “As we never refuse any case or let people die, we are taking care of this child as well. Changing windows form shape in Visual Basic .Net

Hello everybody, I am programming in VB.Net for quite some time. Problems always come but in some way or other it is resolved. But one thing still is a problem to me. Can anybody help me out ?

I want to change the shape of my windows form to any shape. But even the MSDN does not give me any satisfactory answer. I am requesting to the members to give me a valid solution. Please help me.
